Problem with 4in1 USB memory card reader
Hi all,
I have a USB 4 in 1 memory card reader which does not seem to work. Although WindowsXP finds and installs it ok and four "Removable Disk" icons appear in "My Computer", I've tried SD memory and Memory Stick Duo memory cards but when I double-click on the icons it just says "Please insert a disk into drive ...". I'm putting the memory cards into the right slots - and the right way round! I've never seen the access LED work either. Any ideas?

If the cards work elsewhere, and the reader has the same problem on another system, then the reader may be toast.

One memory card works fine in my Canon digi camera, the other works fine in my Sony PSP.
Toast? Jeez, it's brand new too.

It happens. I've seen them bad right out of the box.
