Gskill Ram
Is this a good brand? I normaly use Crucial and Kingston, I am getting ready to build a new AMD64 gaming computer for a close friend and I am opening my mind to other brands, I wanted to try OCZ for his rig but its very expensive.
I noticed that GSkill gets very high ratings from users on newegg.com Can I get some feedback from people on these forums on this brand please? Is there a sticky post somewhere that lists good and bad ram? Like the one we have for Power Supplies.

I use Corsair Value Select memory for the majority of builds, but for my own system, i went for Crucial memory.
Many of the RAM brands that we don't see used very frequently on the forum, such as G.Skill, arent necessarily low quality, it's merely that the popular ones are recommended because of their consistently high quality. FK

It seems the specs on the GSkill are pretty good and they are now going for a very good price. I can go with Crucial for the an almost sure thing. I have only had problems once with their Ram and it was DDR500 and they replaced them for me in a heart beat. I just want to try other Ram and I was hoping I could get some feedback on the GSkill. Anyone?

Many folks on the various OC forums use and like GSkill. I've never seen any negative reports. Haven't used it myself. Right now in various machines I'm using Corsair XMS DDR2, Patriot PDP, OCZ Enhanced Latency and Kingston HyperX. It's all about compatibility and purpose.

G.Skill is a rather newcomer to the memory arena, but theyre very quality. Im running the PC4000 and am amazed by how little voltage it requires to get to where I want. My main thing about it is that I dont have to juice it with 3V+....its happy at 2.5V to 2.7V
