"Boot from CD" - blank screen..

Hey,

I've just built my first ever computer and it booted up fine, I accessed the CMOS settings with ease and set up my two SATA2 drives for RAID 0. I then restarted the computer, and reached the infamous, Boot from CD: DISK BOOT FAILURE, INNSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.

I presume this is the time to insall the operating system, so I put the Windows disk in and pressed Enter. A new screen shows up, Boot from CD: but no error message so I wait here expecting the blue Windows XP setup screen. But instead I get a blank screen, which I leave for 10 minutes or so, but no difference!

I am using a DFI LanParty NF4 SLi-DR Expert motherboard so I can only presume it is either a problem with the setup disk, hard drive(s) or the DVD drive.

Thanks in advance,

Lambie

make sure that when you boot the computer that there is message at the bottom of the screen to press f1 to boot from cd, and be sure the xp cd is in the cd drive too.
