SATA BIOS conf
Hi,
i would like to know how to configure the BIOS setting for my SATA drive on MSI 865PE Neo2 motherboard. I've actually got it running but the OS hang frequently. I think it's because of the configuration that i am not sure of. I have a seagate 80gb sata drive and a cd-rom. |

If the system is running, then things are ok in BIOS.
Which O/S are you using? When does the system hang -> online, offline, or both? Does it hang in Safe mode? What are the temperatures in BIOS? Did you check for viruses and spyware? |

-running WINXP.
-im not sure if it hangs offline because the net is always on when i on my comp. -it hang on normal usage like msn, web surfing.. -yes i did check for viruses and spyware. i think it's due to temperature. cos when it hang, it wont boot up again (wont post). i felt that the mobo is overheating and after letting it rest for awhile till it cool down, it boots up again. and then i open the casing and let it run while doing the normal stuff and it goes on well. it's this heatsink on the mobo that is overheating i think? shld be some bridge controllers. |

Are you sure the CPU fan and heatsink is not clogged with dust? What are the CPU temperatures in the bios? Which exact processor?
