psu
I have a gateway gt5056,amd64 x2 3800, and it has a 300watt psu,i want to change it can i use a SLI psu, just cause its cheaper than others and has what i want. ty

Alright.
Well...why do you want to change the unit to an SLI-approved one? Are you adding a new video card? Because of a proprietary form factor, you may not be able to fit a new ATX unit in your existing case.

I want SLI cause i cant find a one with pic-e connector and aleast 20 or higher on to 12v, and yes im getting a new video card to, a Geforce 6800XT i know it dont need pci-e connector, but will upgrade video card later date just thinking ahead.

Any SLI power supply that's cheaper than a standard ATX 2.0 unit is not likely to be good quality.
