what about this Thermaltake PSU
Thermaltake TR2 W0070 ATX 430W Power Supply - Retail
my system is AMD sempron 2800+ ECS-755A2 MOBO 1G DDR400 250 SATA HD NEC DVD will this 20+4 PSU work with my MOBO? is this PSU good enough and quiet? this PSU has two fans, does that mean one fan will blow air into case? what about this one: Thermaltake W0093RU ATX 12V 2.0 Version 500W Power Supply - Retail but this one only has one fan, but not on the switch side, so do I have to make a hole on the top of my machine or let it blow air inside my case? thanks |

I would choose the 430w for your setup, unless you are using a very powerful graphics card.
The rear fan will blow air out. The second fan will be on the bottom of the psu, pulling air in. So working together, air flows through the PSU and out the back of your case. |

The 430w thermaltake you list should be ok for your build, since it's not a PCI-E motherboard. The 20+4 pin description means that it's compatible with both 20pin and 24pin motherboard power connectors - yours will be a 20 pin.
The second psu you list is much more powerful, being ATX2 spec and having dual 12v rails, but I'd say that's unnecessary for your parts. The fan on the bottom of the unit will bring air from the case into the unit, and the fan on the back will exhaust this air out. I can't comment on the noise levels of the unit. I know for a fact that the Antec Smartpower series are very quiet (since only one of the two fans runs constantly, the other is thermally controlled), so you might consider one of these if it's silence you're after. FK EDIT: Beaten to it by Alaron
