Can't Mirror Drive in windows 2000 pro
having some trouble adding RAID 1 to a Point of Sale Server that is running windows 2000 professional. it has one 40gb wd hard drive installed and i initially installed a seagate 40gb drive, converted both disks to dynamic and right clicked on the drive 0 to add mirror but it is grayed out. no matter what i do i can't add the mirror to my existing 40gb hard drive.
I noticed that the new drive i added for the mirror was actually smaller then my existing drive, so i pulled it out and put in an 80gb hard drive thinking that would solve the problem, but i still cant add the mirror even with the system partition being 40gb and the new drive being 80gb. Any suggestions as to why i cant add the mirror, and any possible solutions?
