Angry I'm an idiot - and a question

Was having BSOD's with my new build, which I have posted about before. Been through plenty of possibile culprits.

Ran Memtest86+ again and it showed hundreds of errors on test #6 reproducibly no matter what settings I put the memory on.

SO, of course I RMA'd memory to Corsair on Friday, spending 20 bucks to get it there faster. Of course, today, I realize I am an idiot. Who wants to tell me why?

A question: in my ASUS A8n32SLI Deluxe BIOS, there's a setting for Cool n Quiet (ASUS Cool N' Quiet). This is disabled. SHould I enable this? I am running this mobo with an FX-60

Cool N Quiet reduces the fan speed on the processor when it is not under load. If you want to make things a bit quieter, turn it on.

On DFI board "cool and quiet" will also slow down and speed up the cpu when it's either idle or under load....

Not sure if other boards are that way..I have a Abit AV8 and it doesnt appear to be that way... but havent had it fully up and running yet...
