Exclamation Wireless mouse Problem

Hi all
I need help with a Wireless mouse.

Ive just found out my Wireless mouse that i used on my previus computer and has been stuck in my draw for some time.

The mouse is a Trust Ami mouse 2505 Cordless.
Pic here...
Preview mouse

The problem is it wont work on my current computer.
I havnt got the drivers disk for the mouse so i downloaded the correct drivers from Trusts website but still the mouse dont work.
I have replaced the batteries (2x small AA) and still nothing.

It worked perfectly on my old computer which i gave away so i dont understand whats up with this one.
And it was in its original box so i dont think that its been damaged.
what ya think?

Maybe it turned faulty the moment you used on the new pc? Or the USB port is not working?

Hi,Ive checked all 6 USB ports on my computer and they all work.

It might have got damaged somehow but i dont think so as it was sealed back into the original box.

Perhaps you have to establish the signal again. Press the button on the receiver, and then press the button on the bottom of the mouse (if it works that way).

Or perhaps it was the other way around...

Hi Kareeser,

I finaly got the mouse to work and the reciever light was flashing and the curser was moving but the cursers all over the place and sluggish.

Ive altred some settings in the mouse in the control panel and it seems to move better but it gets stuck half way across the screen

Im thinking that the mouses sensor is maybe damaged or something?

Ive downloaded and instaled the appropriate drivers for the mouse.

Edit:Sorry to go off topic but just looked through your computers pics in siggy Kareeser,Very nice and that case is sweet

Why thank you, AMD

I doubt the lens would be scratched, but perhaps you could look at it (with the power off, I'd hope), and check for yourself.

Do other mice work with the computer?

Yeah i cannot see any scratches on the lens but infront of the sensor inside the mouse us a plastic cover so im gonna take a closer look to see if theres any scratches.

Yes other standard mouses work.

If i cannot get the mouse to work though it doesnt matter,I soppose il just have to go and but new one.

Thanks Kareeser
