HDD s.m.a.r.t
what is hdd smart, and should I have it enabled?

It kind of monitors the health of the drive and is supposed to be able to warn you when the drive is starting to show problems before it crashes completely so you have time to back it up and get a new drive.

When the BIOS messages scroll past, you can see the SMART check on each drive. I actually caught one that was going bad when I noticed the message had changed from being OK to "SMART not enabled" or something like that.
