Compatibility question
I've looked on the sites and can't tell if OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K memory (2x1024MB) is compatible with an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe. Unless I completely missed it... if any of you guys know right off that would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

It is PC3200 DDR SDRAM, which should be compatible with the A8N32-SLI Deluxe.

I was going to try to check OCZ's site for compatibility, but they have no modern motherboards listed.

the ram and mobo are compatible. If it turns out I am wrong, I will buy both from you.

Here is the link to the Asus QVL for that motherboard. It doesn't list that particular RAM, and the OCZ modules it does list seem as if they might be limited to only using 1 pair of RAM modules (scroll down and check the a, b and c footnotes).
The motherboard manual is on this page. Here is the OCZ configurator page for that board.

Kareeser- That is what I was thinking but I wanted to be 100% sure... or close to it anyways.
![]() blue60007- yeah, that was the problem I was having. Don't you love it when they keep up to date with this kind of stuff? makisushi- *writes this down and prints thread* Dualy noted. jayb1234- thanks for the info. To keep going on what kareeser said, can I just take that as a good general rule that there generally won't be any problems between mobo and memory sticks if the speeds match up? -CA Last edited by CrazedAssembler; 05-31-2006 at 01:37 PM. |

Nope. You also have to consider the architecture of the RAM modules, number, size, brand and density, of the chips, single sided vs double sided are a few of the things that will cause a specific module to not work with a specific motherboard. For example: Quote:
From page 2-12 of the motherboard manual.
