can I partition for Vista beta?

I want to install the Vista Beta and I can't find any extra hard drives to do it on.

What would you recommend? Is it possible to partition a section of my current hard drive for an isolated place to install vista? Or would it cause any problems just to install it along with my other stuff on the drive?

Right now I have XP on my C: and just data on my extra 320GB.

Do you have any unpartitioned space on your hard drive? If not, you would need something like Partition Magic to resize your C: drive and free up some space.

Bummer... all my space is partitioned and I don't have enough space to relocate my data. It looks like my best bet is to keep looking for a 10GB+ hard drive.

Vista needs a minimum of 15 gigs so you'd want to get at leaset a 30 gig drive...

If you can partition a spot to put it...It works best with a 50gb or bigger partition....

You'd have to make enough space and lable it D:... Vista likes it that way... it's a fun OS to play with... I have been playing with it for weeks...

AS a note... it seems to do better on Via based systems than Nforce systems.... you will also have to disable "driver signing" to get most programs to work or they just wont install...

I have it installed on an Athlon 2400-xp system and a 939/3000venice system (both Via chipsets) and have very few issues....
