Sata Raid on A8V Deluxe

hello, Asus A8v has 2 sata raid controllers a Promise (2 sata and 1 pata connector for raid 0,1,0+1,multiple raid) and an onboard Via something (2 aditional sata connectors for raid 0,1,JBOB). I bought 2 identical sata drives and followed the steps to make a raid 0 using promise controllers, managed to set up disk array with everything looking good and bios recognizing, while installing OS used disquete to load drivers pressing f6 and those where recognized too...windows installation stopped saying it couldnt find disks...

Figured after a few goes I would try the Via controllers and switched the cables, found it weird that windows (on my pata hdd, that i disconect when trying to set up raid) didnt recognize them saying hardware failure, but rebooted and proceeded to create an array with the via tool, but it wouldnt let me due to hardware failure to iniciate.

Updated bios, tried using promise tool while connecting disks to via connector and all sorts of mad combinations I could think of, no luck...is it human error? I have had a raid 0 on this board before, working perfectly, hard to beleive mobo is bust.

Now I cant use the disks as normal satas since they on that promise raid 0 config...if i use em apart they simply dont get recognized, not in bios not in disk manage. How can I format them seperately?
