Hard Drive help
hello everyone.....i recently had a problem with my hard drive that was not resolved. I was getting a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. anyway, i just set up a new hard drive. the old failed drive was a sata drive and the new one is not. is it possible to slave a sata drive off of a non sata drive to obtain data off it. i know the disc is still spinning, and if it's spinning, there's got to be a way to get my data off it before i send it back to western digital. excuse my ingnorance, but i'm still a novice at all this hardware stuff. any advice would be great! thanks!

"Slave" is not the correct term here. You should be able to simply copy files from the SATA to the new drive as long as the bios and Windows still sees the drive.
