Cool Bang & Olufsen A8 Headphones review

Well two days ago i finally got a pair of B&O earphones.

These headphones like most other B&O products are expensive, moreso then their competitors, due to the low number manufactured. these A8 headphones have an rrp £90 ($160). A lot of money, but as these were clearance from a nearby store which was closing down, i manged to pick them up for £60, a more reasonable price.

They arive in a grey B&O box, which is relatively compact. There is no artwork or depictions of the headphones on the box. The box opens up to reveal the headphones, an extention cord, a protective pouch for the headphones and a small guide. Not forgetting two sets of earphone covers.

The headphones are very minimilistic in design, with an aluminum adjustable section for placing the earphone into the ear, and an over ear "semicircle", which is adjustable, that can go behing the ear and secure the equipment in place. The headphones are annoying the first couple times to adjust to, but eventually putting them on becomes second nature. A difficulty arises, if, like me, you have to wear glasses, as the frame can oftem move the headphone from the most comfortable position or move the in ear section out of the ear slightly at an angle.

The sound quality is what you would expect for your money, and there is a huge diffence from this, and the normal iPod headphones. The sound is crisp and deterioration when the volume increaces is minimized. However, these cannot match up to headphones for bass, and metal and rock music does not come out as well as pop and jazz.

Final verdict: - these are a very good pair of headphones but the high price of £90 is a deterrant. but if you find these discounted or on clearance, they are definately worth parting your with your money for.
