ASUS board with OCZ RAM , Will it work?
The system in my signature is a system that I will start to build today. I have everything now except the OCZ AM.
Can Someone tell me if this OCZ RAM will work in this configuration? Has anyone tried OCZ on an ASUS board? OCZ is NOT on the QVL for ASUS. However I did see the two paired in some online packages. That's why I ended up buying this OCZ. Then I started to check into it, double checking compatability before I begin the build, and low and behold this RAM did not find itself on to the QVL. Thanks all |

Is this am2 or 939?
And which ram exactly are you talkin about, links would help. Theres a whole lotta ocz ram there bud. OCZ is one of the top end manufacturers out there . They have irreputably the best customer service on the market. I would trust them. But if its am2, I would seriously follow QVL. Last edited by Mr.Ferrari; 07-26-2006 at 08:32 AM. |

Sorry Ferrari, was in a hurry this AM when posting it.
This is a socket 939 board. The link for the Ram is: http://www.clubit.com/product_detail...temno=A4308014 Motherboard: http://www.xpcgear.com/a8nslideluxe.html Last edited by dwruddock; 07-26-2006 at 07:58 AM. |

It should work fine - the 939 platform is very forgiving, unlike the AM2 platform, when it comes to ram.

Thanks jfk. It obviously works just fine. That was the exact response I was hoping to see. Not to discount the very wise words of Mr. Ferrari and GLC, their input is always appreciated as well.
