Good Photo Printer for personal use...
My mother is looking for a good photo printer for about $300 (max) with a large screen display so she can view and make changes to the picture before printing... Can someone make a recommendation and/or website for one?? I found a few at Circuit City that she liked but I just feel I could find something better using these forums... Thanks

I've not used my photo printer since I discovered snapfish. When you factor in the cost of ink and paper, not to mention the initial cost of the printer, snapfish and other online print services are more cost effective for me. If mom has broadband, I'd explore this option with her. Without broadband, uploading the photos you want printed takes too long IMHO.
As for photo editing software, take a look at Google's Picasa; it's free and very nice for photo management and editing. You can even order prints through it automatically, though I've never tried this service myself. Picasa might be a good alternative for your mom with its one stop shopping approach. |

Which ones did she like at Circuit City? We can at least comment on them as far as quality and cost of consumables.
It's a lot cheaper taking the memory card over to Walgreens and use their machine than it is to print them yourself, by the way. |
