Test the RAM with Memtest86+.

Is this a name brand computer or a home built one?

What are your system specs? Please list the parts by brand and model.

I've seen those kind of error messages with faulty motherboards too.

Does this happen with only certain programs at certain times or is it more random?

Is this a store bought computer (if so, give us the brand and model) or a home built computer (if so, give us the list of components you have installed)?

Reseating the memory = uninstalling and reinstalling the memory modules into their slots.

But, I think Cricket may be right, it may be faulty memory or the motherboard.

If it is store bought, then the brand and model should be somewhere on the exterior of the case. If it is custom build, you may want to ask your friend or someone with decent computer skills to help you identify the parts.
