BIOS Configuration

Hi,

I have a PC, which motherboard is MSI 865PE NEO2.
I think the system is quite unstable because of the incorrect setting of BIOS.
Can anyone teach me how to configure the IDE?
I have a CDROM drive and a SATA hard disk.

No matter what I do, I cannot set the SATA hard disk to primary master, and cdrom drive to primary slave?

What should I do?

How you gonna do that when you have a SATA hard drive (which doesn't have or use master/slave settings) that doesn't even connect to the IDE channel?

What kind of problems are you having?

Master and slave are not determined by the bios - it's determined by the cabling and jumpering.

Sometimes the system hang.

And sometimes the window will start up very slowly or even hang when I played with the BIOS setting for IDE configuration.
