What is normal CPU Usage (as found in windows task manager) for doing simple tasks such as using mozilla or itunes? Because recently my computer has been slow in opening multiple or even single windows and sometimes will freeze when opening say firefox and itunes at the same time... Surfing the internet alone will sometimes use 80% of the cpu power which seems a little odd. Possibly the task manager isnt accurate or those numbers are normal, but the freezing is not... Any answers?
BTW I have a AMD Athlon64 4000+ | 2gigs ddr400 | evga SLI mobo | evga 7800gtx | Maxtor 250gb 16mb SATA | XClio 480 SLI PSU, and I recently updated BIOS on my mobo (which very likely could be causing all the trouble) |

if you think it your mobo, then rollback to the old bios, since you've pretty much identified the problem

Flash the old bios version the same way you flashed the new one.
