Help SATA RAID 0 Issue
I finally got all my parts in and everything installed (at least physically). When I try to install WINXP it give me the following error, "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in yor computer."
In the cmos I believe I have activated everything necessary for the SATA to work and I have configured the RAID utility to be striping with both HDD's. Here is the hardware I am using: Biostar TForce 6100MB wd2500ks (2) Any suggestions would be greatly apprecited. If you have any questions about the rest of the hardware I will gladly submit info... Thanks |

You have to have the SATA RAID drivers on a floppy disk. You press F6 when prompted at the beginning of Setup and put the floppy in. If you don't have a floppy drive, there's NO workaround, get a floppy drive and install it. The drivers will be on the motherboard CD, you have to make the floppy disk on another computer.

Your only other option is to slipstream the drivers into a custom install CD. I have done this for promise, highpoint, and nvidia controllers. It works well and saves the F6 step. I use nlite to do the driver integration.
The floppy is easier and less work, however if you do not have a FD this will work also. |
