Hah! I recently tried out my first PC case mod the other day. Working an internship over at a pc repair shop, the owner gave me this old case that I thought had some potential to look cool, and I took it home and spent 2 days slaving away at it!
It started out like this. Before modding First thing I decided on was the color scheme, red and black, typical. I then removed all the plastic parts, sanded off the gateway symbols. cut some holes in the front, for a fan, and sanded down all the old paint. Went to Ace and bought a few cans of black and red enamel spraypaint, and got to work! I painted the plastic outer parts red, and the main body black. (will post the "inbetween" pictures when I get home) I cut some veiwing holes in the sides, avoiding the metal bar going down the center of the side panel by splitting the veiwing windows. I then installed some plexiglass using screws and some apoxy glue =P Painted that part black, with red trim around the windows. I'll go into more detail of the inbetweens, but the only pictures I have uploaded are the "before" and "after" pictures. You have the before, here is the after Finished (mostly) I ran out of black paint on the body, and was only able to put 2 coats, so it's not nearly as prety as the red parts. but in my opinion it turned out well for my first case mod ever, figuring out my fathers tools, and not following any guides, meh. Was a ton of fun, and now I have a semi cool case to put a pc in! Hurrah! |

There! Sorry for the Myspace link (lol)
I made it into a blog there, and am far to lazy to do it somewhere else. So.. uhh... If you're interested in seeing the "inbetween" parts. Check that out. (I dont think you need to be signed up to read it) PC Case mod! |
