dvd writer problem on dell xps laptop

i just got a new laptop from dell and tried to install my comcast disk. is shows the name of the cd it just goes back to the list of browse catogories. the disk will not autorun. im installing the drivers and utilities right now on the same dvd drive any suggestion?

Does the comcast disk work in your other computers?

Why do you need the Comcast disk? There's nothing on there that's required.

yes the disk worked on my other computer. reinstalling the drivers worked so im good. i can never connect with a new computer unless i install a comcast disk every thing is fine now thanks

All you have to do is power the cable modem off for about 2 minutes to reset the MAC and it will connect to a new computer fine.
