Printer Problemo!!!
i've brought my dad's printer to home..but the cable with it has blue color at connector end..while My pC has pink color coding for printer...so when i connect it ...my pc is not picking it up...i use xp withsp2..plz help

Hi amit2005,
Is your dad's printer connecting to the computer via a parallel port? (Click link to see a picture) If so, you will need to install the drivers that came with the printer. Alternatively, you can go to the printer manufacturer's website and download the drivers there. Windows XP won't automatically detect printers if they connect using the parallel port. Good luck! Actually, XP does find printers via the parallel port.
Amit: Click start/printers and do an "add new printer".
