Question Configuring Raid

Can anyone help.
I am building my own PC and have got to the point after first and second boot and before installing OS but am having problems configuring RAID. I have a Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 and following their instruction manual, get to the point where I need to get into the RAID BIOS by using Ctrl 1 but nothing happens. I am using:-
CPU Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800
Corsair Twin 2x2048-6400 Pro x 2 4GB
XFX 9700 Video Card
PSU Enermax 620 w
Lian Li case 61
XP Prof OS
Thanks

What is the XFX 9700 card? Not that it has anything to do with this issue.

I'm guessing that is a typo.

Dwest, what hard drives do you have, and how are they hooked up?

Put the 2 drives on SATAII0 and SATAII1. This is the Intel ICH8R controller. Don't use the GSATA controller.

It's control+I (letter I, not number 1). You will be using the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.

You *will* need a floppy drive and disk to install the RAID drivers during Windows setup.

Check the BIOS, make sure it is enabled.
