Can you burn .mp3's to a DVD?
Might seem like a silly question, as I usually buy CD-R's for music, photo's and data burning, but I mistakenly bought DVD's today, and wondered if my CD burner could download music to these blank disc's?

Ok, if I have a DVD burner....then can I download .mp3's on them and play them in an Ipod or car unit that accepts .mp3's? I assume it's the same issue if formated to .wav?
I assume DVD's are mainly made for movies, but since I only watch 1 or 2 movies a year, I thought adding a DVD player to my system wouldn't be an efficient use of my $$, thus I went with the CD burner. Will DVD disks only play in a DVD I guess is the question! Thanks! PSD2000 |

No, car players can't read DVD's, only CD's. DVD's only play in DVD players and DVD computer drives.
DVD burners are only 30 bucks or so now, and they also can burn CD's. in addition to reading CD's and DVD's. I use mine to do backups, a DVD holds about 6 times as much data as a CD. |
