pcl6 vs postscript drivers for hp 3055
i just purchased a new hp 3055 all-in-one printer/copier/fax.
i downloaded the latest drivers and am using the pcl6 driver. should i be using the postscript driver instead? how would one choose to use the pcl6 (or pcl5) driver over the latest postscript driver??? are the features different? is one better than the other? thanks in advance! ron |

Postscript drivers are mainly for using with high end graphics and desktop publishing programs. Stick with PCL6.

how high-end are you mentioning?
the 3055 is used primarily to produce worship bulletins (primarily text) and monthly newsletters (which may also have some jpeg and supporting graphics.)
so, do you still suggest pcl6??? (note: we certainly are not doing 3d graphics) thanks again in advance! ron |

Unless you are using Adobe Pagemaker or Quark Express to do these bulletins and newsletters, PCL6 is fine.
