HP 3055 problem

I recently installed an HP 3055 LaserJet All-In-One printer. The installation seemed to go alright with the "successful installation" message at the end. Now, when I boot my computer, the following message is displayed:

"HP ToolBoxFX has encountered an error and cannot recover. Please restart Hp ToolBoxFX, or restart your PC. You will not be able to receive alert messages, or use HPToolBoxFX features until HP ToolBoxFX has been restarted.
WN32NT-5.1.2600.0"

If I restart HP ToolBoxFX at the Start Menu, the printer seems to work alright. I have checked msconfig, and the following HP software is loaded at boot:

hpwuschd2.exe
hptbxfx.exe

How can I get a successful boot of the HPToolBoxFX? My system is: Intell Pentium 4 2.4GHz, 512 Megs, Windows XP SP2.

You could uninstall the software and start over. Or just uncheck the two items listed in msconfig. The first is an Update Scheduler and the second is the HPToolBoxFix. You don't need either for the printer to function correctly.

Thanks for the information. I've unchecked that software and it seems to work fine.
