Mouse problems

I got a logitech 518 opticle mouse with one of those high end gameing mouse pads. The problem is my curser jumps to the upper right hand of the screen and gives me no controll.
I've tried to replace the mouse to a old style rollerball mouse and it does the same thing. I've checked for viruses with mcafee and checked my pc for spyware with spybot and adaware. The only time I get anyware with my pc is when I start it in safe mode and it works just fine.

Please sombody give me a fix for this

Uninstall all mouse drivers and software in add/remove programs and see if it does the same thing with the deafult Windows mouse drivers.
