I have had this monitor going on three days now. It is nice and bright, easy to read. The highest resolution is 1680X1050 and contrast at 1200:1. For its size, it is rather light. As some other reviews said, the base is not the best, it's rather flimsy. The most outstanding feature of this monitor is the HDMI connection. One of the downfalls of this are the comments that I get from other tech geeks telling me I should have gotten a monitor that can handle an even higher resolution. Anyway, what counts is that I am happy with it. A couple little things that does bug me are 1. a blue screen flash as it changes resolution and 2. the power LED, it is too bright; the monitor sits in my living room and lights up the entire 15X20 room from the one little LED. In the end, I think it is a very good screen and would recommend it to anyone for gaming or just watching movies.

Cool! Sounds awesome. How do movies look on it? Any ghosting or motion artifacts? And what did you pay for it? Where'd it come from? I love the size. I always thought that a 24" widescreen would be a bit too much but yet a 19-20" wouldn't quite be enough, so I'm glad to see a 22 incher.

Movies look good. On widescreen videos, because the aspect ratio is 16:10, there is a small ammount of unused screen on the top and bottom watching typical 16:9. No ghosting that I can tell. Previously had a 19" 12ms - that I could tell a substancial ammount of ghosting. Bought it at Costco for $300 + $15 shipping. There was a $30 rebate. I can't find this monitor for sale anywhere. Costco discontiued it two or three days after I ordered. I'll post if I find one for sale.

BTW, I've owned one of these for almost a month - it's AWESOME. It allows 3 simultaneous graphic inputs via its VGA, DVI & HDMI ports. I can have my PC, PowerBook and new Philips upsampling DVD video player all plugged in and cycle between the three displays by just pushing the Sceptre's "source" button. VERY cool.

All new graphics cards are coming out with DVI ports, and all DVD players and set top boxes with HDMI ports. That's the future, yet this is the only 22" LCD monitor with HDMI. (BTW, the Sceptre's DVI and HDMI ports both support HDCP.)
