Switching Heatsinks
I am in the middle of building my Core 2 Duo system. I also have a P4 system, I bought an after market cooler for the P4 (http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cp...2_detail.html). Anyways, my question is; can I put that after market cooler onto my Core 2 Duo, and have the Core stock heatsink on my P4 system? Or does the stock cooler with the Core 2 Duo not work as well as a stock P4 cooler?
BTW, they're both LGA775. |

Your link doesn't work, but if it is the Bear, it will fit a Core 2 Duo.

Yea, the link I guess included that parenthesis. But yea, I knew that would. And the stock heatsink with the Core would sufficiently cool the P4 right?

Depending on which P4 you have it may actually run hotter than the C2D processor and you may want to keep the aftermarket HSF on the P4 instead of swapping it to the C2D.
