Wireless Mouse giving me a hard time

I have this what I believe to be the bigest piece of junk ever. It's a Microsoft Wireless mouse and it's always giving me a hard time. I have to be with in 1-2 feet of it or it wont work. It even lags sometimes to I have to fight with it to get it to move. I have rulled out batterys as I have a pair of 2500 mah rechargables in it which where just charged less then a week ago.

This a driver issuse or the mouse just buggy ?

make sure you not using your wireless optical mouse on a reflective surface as that can cause them to act weird and laggy

It does not have a clear line of site but I was able to be 3-4 feet before with the desk blocking its line of view. The model is 1025. Sometimes I can farther outhers I can't

There may be some interference in the area. I had no problems with an older MS set, but a new MS set gave me issues so I returned it. I picked up a Logitech set and it too suffers from interference issues.

Try reseting the connection by pressing the "connect" buttons. Try to think about what else might be the cause. Is there metal between a line of sight path? Is there a router nearby? Anything else like a cell phone or landline?

If you think it's a driver issue, remove the drivers, but you will lose some functionality of any non-standard buttons.
