Microsoft Intellimouse 3.0

Will an Intellimouse 3.0 work on a computer which has Intellimouse 2.0 software installed?

There shouldn't be any problem. You may want to update the drivers. With the new drivers, you should be able to change from one mouse to the other if you so choose since they're pretty much one size fit all.

The mouse should come with a disk, or you can download the software via MS's website. Aside from that, basic functionality will automatically be recognized via Windows XP if for any reason you don't want to update the software.

No problem. If you have any issues or problems with the mouse and drivers, just post back.

It didn't come with any software b/c it was OEM. For advanced features, you're going to need to download the software via MS's support site.
