4:5 FSB:DRAM Ratio
I have DDR2 667 memory, and BIOS is running it @ 333mhz. Should I make my memory run at 266mhz to create a 1:1 ratio with my C2D E6300? What is the best option?

No, your memory should automatically RUN at a 1:1 ratio. The only way to have it run asynchronously is to put it into a divider yourself.
4:5 means for every 4FSB your processor takes, your memory will take 5FSB. Meaning, your memory will run faster then your processor. A 4:5 ratio at stock speeds will make your memory run at 667 while your cpu is at 533.

Running a 4:5 ratio if your not overclocking will result in a little performance boost.
But running 1:1 is automatically set and is the default. Either one is fine.. |
