Hi,
I have a Dell B110, Intel Celeron, 2.53 GHz, 512MB RAM. Yesterday I hit the big sale at frys. I got a 500GB SATA HDD for 150.00 I bring it home, and having not installed a hard drive in some time, I notice, I don't have SATA connections, so I go back to Frys and get a SATA PCI Card. I install the card, run the GUI utility and Reboot, everything is fine. I run the DiscWizard off of the CD ROM that came with the Seagate HD. I chose the option to intall the 500GB as the boot drive and removing the old one when completed. It completes, everything is fine. Now the 500GB is my new boot disc. I take out the old HD and reboot, and I get the lovely Error that WILL NOT go away for the life of me, PRESS (CTRL+S) OR F4 TO ENTER RAID UTILITY I have searched previous topics and found nothing helps, in my BIOS I do not have the option for ONBOARD DEVICES to disable or Enable. The last thing I remember doing before this, is installing the drivers for the PCI card from the CD that came with it. If I remove the PCI SATA card I just get an eternal blinking cursor, and no error for RAID Utility. I am about to throw this POS out the window. Any suggestions? |
