ULtra ATA 100 Hardrive Problems
Hello Guys go easy i'm new!
I have purchased a new Ultra ATA Hardrive and installed it in my USB2.0 external case which is about 4 years old and can not get it to recognize more than 137gb. The other problem is i also hooked it up to my AMD 600MHZ ASUS A7V mother board non Ultra ATA 100 connection which has had the bios updated and currently runs a 160 gig hard(partioned), it recognizes the hardrive in the windows device manager but not in my computer and no way to format it. Could the problem be that i am not using it as a Ultra ATA 100 drive? Also what would i have to do to get it to work in my ext. drive case? Can anyone help! Thanks, Kevin |
