Dual core vs HT
I am new to this forum. I just got my sister a 930 Pentium D 3.0 Ghz (Dual Core) with 945 chipset. After reading that imformative post I'm glad I upgraded to 945 motherboard because he was gonna sell it with the crapper motherboard without the 945 chipset.
I could have gotten a Pentium 4 3.4 or 3.6 Ghz with HT (Hyper thread technology). I thought my sister would like to multitask and do a million things at once so that is why I thought the Dual Core would be better for her because she doesn't play games. Did I make a good choice? Does this Dual Core perform better than this HT when it comes to multi tasking/computing so to speak? |
