How Hot...? NB Temps

How hot can Northbridges go? I haven't overclocked anything and I believe the Speedfan said something about 100C, but my system is 34C. Does this sound okay? Intel P965 with stock Asus passive cooling. I'm not too concerned about it... I haven't done anything to alter it.

Okay thanks, but how about the Northbridge itself?

Sorry, just used to MCH.

MCH=Northbridge. Memory Control Hub is just the proper term used nowadays.

34c is great.

Wait I think I confused you. My motherboard is 34... Now SpeedFan said something about a "Remote Temp" being 100C. What could this possibly be? My MCH?

Your motherboard=Northbridge=MCH. All three are the same thing. Just different terms. Sorry if I confused you. They are at 34c which is a great temp.

100c is a imaginary temperature. There is no temp sensor at that location so speedfan screws up. Just disregard it.
