Christmas present to myself :)

You all have been great at giving advice, tips, and what not. So I figured I'd ask you guys on what you think I could/should upgrade my comp as a little XMas gift to myself. I have 3-4 hundred to spend.

One thing I was thinking about was this processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103526

I should have got it a couple of days ago. It was 125 dollars then.

The comp this is for is in my sig.

Erm... I'd have to urge you to get something dual core. How is this for a change: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103540

I don't wish to have a multi-tasking cpu. I'm looking for a more graphics intensive cpu. Thanks anyways.

Then by all means go ahead and get the FX-55.

I second Newb's suggestion. Definately go for the X2 especially if your gaming. Single core vs. Dual core aside. The X2 that was suggested is just a much more powerful CPU even in single core apps.

It has more Cache on both instances, L2 and L1. It also runs a bit cooler. The .2ghz clockspeed difference is nothing.

FX doesnt always mean better. The FX-55 was of three generations ago.

Alrighty. I'll take that into consideration. Any thoughts on a video card? Something in the 2-3 hundred range?
