Laptop Got Hot Now No Video
Hey guys last night i was just using my laptop like every other night laying down surfing the web and all of a sudden it just randomly turned off. I touched the ac cord going in and it was extremely hot. I tried to boot back up and everything went, i even could here the windows launch sound however got no video. I tried taking out the battery and just going on ac power but still nothing. I took the back of the laptop off (i know its out of warrenty already) and the video card is actually a pci-e geforce 6600 go mxm. I'm thinking all i need to do is replace that however i can't find anywhere on the net to buy it. I called abs and they directed me to call nvadia however there closed for the holidays until january and i reallly need to get it up asap. Any suggestions?

Does letting it cool down make any difference?

Does your laptop have a hot key and the necessary ports so that you can connect via S-video or whatnot to another monitor / TV without having to configure anything?

Ok guys update to this....i bought a new video card the exact same model and put it in replacing the old one and the same syptons. No video everything else seems to work (even the sound and the wifi light). Not sure what to do i unplugged and replugged in all the wires that i saw to see if that would make a difference but nothing.
