Unhappy Intel D946GZIS question

Hello everyone, I recently upgraded motherboard form a Biostar P4M800 Pro-M7 to a Intel D946GZIS. I noticed that the integrated video card Intel GMA 3000 doesn't work very well with 3d games. I downloaded the latest drivers for the video but it is the same, for example with Dungeon Siege the FPS is 24. Is this normal to have those rates with my new Intel motherboard? with my old biostar moherboard the integrated card, an S3 with 64 internal MB
I get more decent FPS, better graphics and no lag.

To conclude my question is: Is this a normal behaviour for the video on the D946GZIS? or there's a problem with the motherboard?
I'm asking this because if there's a problem with the mobo i'll claim the warranty
Thanks for your help.

Here are my specs:

Motherboard Intel D946GZIS, 800 FSB
Ram 1 GB DDR2 533 Speed
Processor Intel Pentium D 2.8 Ghz
HD Seagate 120 GB Sata
OS Windows Xp Professional SP2

Sounds normal to me - I'm sure if the old board had nVidia integrated video or similar it would get better FPS than Intel GMA based graphics.

The GMA 3000 is actually pretty decent, but NO integrated video is really suitable for a gamer. Get a proper PCI-E card. Make sure your power supply is suitable for running one.

One issue is the GMA 3000 is using a lot more shared memory than your S3 did. 1 gig ram is pretty much minimum for gaming these days, and when you share a bunch of it, this hurts things.
