Problem with Video Playback on LG Super Multi format RW Burner

Trying to use Cyberlink Powerdvd 7 with an LG RW burner (dl / 18x max)
[HG-DT-ST dvdram gsa-h10n - this ID info derived from latest Nero suite
so not sure if valid for dvd playback ???) on 800MHZ Duron, over 350MB
pc133 dram, 20GB HDD and windows Me.

DVD/CDR[W] burning works fine.

Problem is dvd playback has problems. We get the soundtrack and
visualisations (as in media player but this is in powerdvd).
If we deselect visualisations we just get a blank or
white screen with AD info.

Video card used is PCI SVGA 2MB vid memory and I have seen
This kind of config produce good results on another Duron system.
We may need a better video card (AGP) or possibly even a better
Monitor. Powerdvd may need over 1000 pixels resolution to work.

The Nero software is obviously able to access all data on dvds.
But as regards Cyberlink Powerdvd this is not the case.

PC shop suggested we download divx player from :

http://www.divx.com

We tried this but so far it doesn't work.
Patch update just crashes the system.

Trying one final dl of 30+ MB so maybe in 2 hours or so we will have a
result.

Any help/ideas much appreciated.
