Floppy Disk Faild (40)

Done a clean install of XP but before I did, I did a through dusting and cleaning of case and removed all hardware then put back everything along with a differant Video card and when I boot I get the above message and have to click F1 to continue. I have checked connections and replaced the cable. Still nothing. I really don't think I need it but like the convience of it for small stuff when needed.

Try the floppy drive in another computer. If it doesn't work there, it's broken.

Is the light on the front the floppy drive always on?

Are you sure the cable is installed properly? Red stripe to pin 1 on the floppy and motherboard and end with the twist on the floppy drive?

Is the right type of floppy drive selected in the BIOS?

I'm not sure about the twist I will check tomorrow, and also not sure about the RIGHT one being selected in the bios either. Which would be the RIGHT one??
