MOBO running hot

Lately my mobo has been rising in tempertures. At idling my mobo starts at about 35 and then after about 15 minutes it rises to about 45. I know this is not significantly hot, but the temps. don't stop there they continue to rise until I shut off the computer. Don't even mention when I try to play a game on my computer, the mobo will shoot up into the fifties in about 10 minutes. I know it isn't the cpu because the cpu temp. has been the same as it usually is. Could it possibly be the memory, because when I go to see why it is getting so hot, I find that the memory sticks are pretty damn hot? My Mobo is a Asus P5B-E and I have an Intel 2 Duo E 6600. I also have 2 x 1gb of corsair memory sticks.

Where are you checking these temperatures?

Sounds like case airflow problem to me. Open up the case and/or put a fan blowing into the case and if that helps, you have some case airflow problems.

If you are using an aftermarket CPU heatsink with a side blowing fan, there is probably is not enough air flow around motherboard components. This air flow is provided by the standard down blowing heatsinks.
