good Core 2 Duo mother board?
Hey all. Can some one suggest a stable core 2 duo mother board. I've look on newegg for a while but the choices are overwhleming. I'm looking for a motherboard to go with a core 2 duo E6600, 2GB of DDR 800 ram, a SATA hard drive. I don't need SLI but if theres a good board with SLI I don't mind having it. Needs to have at least one PCI express x16 slot. I would like to have good stable integrated audio and networking.
Sorry for the long post. this is my first build and i want to make good choices for the components. I would prefer it to be under 200 usd unless theres a good reason to spend more. TY |

Look at the ASUS P5B series. What exact RAM were you planning on?

That P5B series has been and still is the board of choice. Corsair value select is the most popular and well liked ram it seems.

Value Select if there won't be any overclocking, XMS2 CAS 5 if there will be.
