Depends on which CPU you're using.

That processor is a 533MHz FSB model which uses a 133MHz motherboard FSB setting (133MHz x 4 [Quad Pumped] = 533MHz) so you really only need PC4200 (DDR2 533) RAM. You can use DDR2 667 but the memory will just run at DDR2 533 speeds.

And don't worry about the different FSB speeds for the CPU and RAM...the motherboard will automatically set these up properly for you.

Actually it doesn't matter since the motherboard will just run the FSB at 133MHz and the RAM (whatever is in there) will run at DDR2 533 speeds.

Up to you, but if you plan to upgrade to a C2D in the future you should get DDR2 667 RAM.

alright sorry, but something just popped into my head. say the mother board example - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131041 has a 1066/800mhz FSB.

will that still accept a FSB 533 CPU? i am assuming that the mobo will config to run at 533 like you said it would the RAM, but i am not sure

In this case you would have to check CPU compatibility. Go to the motherboard makers web site and check the CPU compatibility for the motherboard you're interested in. If the motherboard lists the CPU you want as compatible then you know they'll work together. If the CPU isn't listed then you know you have to look for another CPU that is compatible with the motherboard or another motherboard that supports the CPU you want.
