Sata - Raid?
Hi all,
I built a new computer with and intel D975XBX2 mobo, intel core 2 6700 2.66 gig cpu, 4 gig 800 MGz ram, 2 Maxtor 500 gig SATA HD. I set the drives to RAID in the bios and ran the Marvell SATA Controller RAID Driver disk and the Intel Matrix Storage Technology RAID Driver disk when xp pro ask for third party RAID software. I setup two RAID volumes. When xp pro setup runs it gives me the error "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer." I changed the drive type to IDE in the bios and then xp can see them. Any ideas why it won't load set up and can't see the drives as RAID? Thanks for any help. |

You have to create and initialize the RAID array in the bios first.
