Question Good Motherboard Temp

Hello! Whats a good motherboard temp? My mobo temp is 40C. I kinda thought that was high, also considering my cpu (core2duo) is 33C. Do I need to add a rear fan to get that temp down?

Thanks

Thats a little on the warm side, especially considering the chip is so much cooler. It can also depend on where the sensor is located on the board.

What is your current cooling setup? I'd have a rear exhaust fan as a minimum.

Hmm, as for cooling, honestly not too much. I got the stock HSF that has a hood over it so the warm CPU air blows out of the case. The case didnt include any fans at all, but it has a place for a large fan to go. I guess I'll go buy one on friday. Thanks

[edit] BTW- If your reading this, can you access newegg.com? I get 'Thank you for visiting Newegg.com. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience but we are currently experiencing problems on our server. Please try again at a later time.
If you have any questions, please visit our FAQs or simply contact us and our helpful staff will alleviate any concerns you may have. ' Hmmm.

Newegg works for me right now, but I got the same message a couple days ago. They must be doing some work on their servers.

40c isnt too bad, better case airflow would help. But get worried when it starts hitting 45-50.

945 chipsets run pretty cool.
