HEY members!... I have a ide hard drive (wd 120) that about a year 1/2 old and want to put in a new build. The question i need to know is can i partition and format this drive to compleatly clean it for a new os? I know I know why put an old drive in a new build??? Well the truth be said i have several drives laying around and they all work just fine! Thanks members.......

You can wipe and re-partition the drive during the installation of your new OS.
If you want to COMPLETELY destroy the data on the drive before doing so, you can use software like Active Kill Disc, which is on the ultimate boot cd (www.ultimatebootcd.com). This is a zero fill application, which writes 0s to the entire disk.
