External Enclosure: USB works, eSATA doesn't

I just got a Bytecc 380SATA enclosure from newegg seen here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817145388

I was trying to get the eSATA working but to no avail. The computer I tested it on is a new PC I built a couple months ago, and the motherboard is an Asus P5B-E. It has one eSATA already on the back component panel (panel with all of the USB/LAN connectors). I tried hooking up the enclosure to this port, but nothing happens in Windows. I installed the internal->external card that came with the enclosure, tried plugging it into that and still nothing. I'm completely lost, any ideas of what I can try? The USB works fine, no problems at all. I tried updating the BIOS, because one of the items described this fix:
"Enable USB like support for SATA HDD connected to JMICRON controller when JMicron option is set to IDE or AHCI mode"

The eSATA port on the back runs on this JMicron controller so I thought the update would work, but to no avail. I turn it on, plug it in, and nothing happens in Windows. I tried to go into the Windows Disk Management Console, and the drive doesn't show up there either when connected on eSATA.

On my ASUS motherboard I had to install additional drivers off the CD to get the eSATA port working. Not sure if that's your situation as well, but take a look on the CD. (You do already have the jmicron drivers installed, right?)

Thanks for the advice...installing the JMicron drivers worked! I was going to install them before, but I thought they were just SATA Raid drivers. Thanks again!

No problem. I had the exact same problem, and the guy at ASUS tech support said "Drivers?" and after that, everything worked great.
